I Am... A Profound Moment of Learning

One of the "commandments" I have long lived in fear of is the one that says do not take the name of the lord your god in vain.

As a child, this one scared he bejezzes out of me because A- I didn't really understand it and B- that seemed like one REALLY easy to slip up on.

I mean people all around me, all my life, have used the phrase, Oh my God! Right? So how is it that that commandment is written about so seriously and so prominently, yet broken so casually?

I've long since given up trying to figure out the "commandments". I've sort of let them go by the wayside as religious instruments. However, in a conversation with my oldest, he said to me, kind of out of the blue might I add, he asked me what do I consider to be God's name?

Okay I was totally taken aback, because

Seek Ye First (the law of attraction?)

Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33

I had a moment of clarity on this today as I was pondering something my guides said recently about a friend of mine. More on that in a sec, but for right now, let me throw something out there...

What if "the kingdom of god and his righteousness" is your deepest self, that which connects you to the divine, to source? What if what this verse is trying to say is seek your truth and all these things shall be added unto you... and what if all these things are in reality, the dreams of your soul?

You know me, I always say dreams are the treasure map of the soul. I believe they are the things god instills in us upon creation to direct our course here in this lifetime. They are personal and they are unique. Those dreams speak to us of things oftentimes others don't even understand, but when we follow them... when we look inward and we seek out "god"...when we seek ye first... miracles happen all around us.

When we are living in our truth, we are vibrating our truth and the law of attraction then comes into play exactly as it should because we are now attracting to us all the real pieces, opportunities and people we need to complete those dreams.

Now, about my friend. My guides said to me recently,

Settling and the Road to Happiness

I've always been the person who will say "Never settle!"

It offends my soul to even think it, but for several years now I've been circling this issue of "happiness" and what difference do your choices make if you're happy?

It used to bother me back in the days of Tony. Is happy the point of life? We seem to think it is a lot of the time and I've heard some very good arguments to say that it is. So long as you're happy, and you aren't hurting anyone, then why try harder or reach further?

When Tony and I were together, and he was also seeing the other woman and building a life with her, neither of us could really come up with a good reason why

It’s All Energy

More and more, lately, people are talking about energy and how it makes up our physical being as well as everything around us. Some people have even become more comfortable with the term “God” if it is described as an energy force rather than a disapproving father figure. There are books and classes and numerous articles available online for studying energy and how to control and manipulate it to create the best life possible. It is an interesting time and we are very fortunate to have all this available to us.

What I believe is that at the most basic level, everything is energy and I’ve even learned how to transfer it, block it, absorb what I need of it and heal with it. I’ve had these experiences that I cannot deny and by looking at things more from an energy perspective, it makes it easier for me personally to navigate the world around me.

What I want to focus on right now though is the energy we create with our thoughts. There is an article on the “BE” page talking about our inner dialogue, I want to continue that thought process here at a more advanced level bringing in the concept of the Law of Attraction.

The essence of the law is found across religion and in the DNA of basic psychology, but was never more mainstream than with the success of a little book called The Secret.

I know countless people have read the book, but I’m not sure most of the people who read it, really understood the core focus on the law of attraction. It’s not about merely thinking I want a rich, sexy husband, or I want a promotion and an office with a window, you have to
